We’ve collated some of the most frequent questions we get asked about staying at Zulu Falls to help you plan your stay.

MTN coverage is strong enough to stream video but Cell C and Vodacom have limited coverage. 

If it’s wet you will need a 4×4 as the muddy roads get very sticky. If it’s dry a high clearance vehicle will be enough. 

Zulu Falls is fully self-catering and the closest grocery store is 30km+ away in Mooi River. Restaurants can be found 50km+ away in The Nottingham Road area. 

No, firewood is provided for you but please bring your own firelighters! If you burn through the firewood available, you can buy more at R60 per bag. You will need to pay Tembi cash for these additional bags. If you prefer to braai on charcoal you will need to bring your own. 

Yes, people are welcome to join your group for a daytime event or activity at a cost of R100 per adult.

Because we’re rurally located it can take a while for Eskom to get back up and running if it’s knocked out during a storm. While we have a small backup generator that will keep the fridge, freezers and water pump going there won’t be power elsewhere so we advise always bringing a few torches!

No, fresh drinking water is supplied. Please just make sure to use the container that is clearly labelled drinking water.

Yes, please bring your own ice. There is a freezer you can keep it in. 

Yes, there can be both mozzies and ticks so please bring your own repellent. This is particularly important if you plan to walk or hike on the farm and even more necessary during rainy season when the ticks come out in full force!

Yes we are pet friendly! The only stipulations are that dogs are not allowed on the beds or furniture and they must be leashed if you’re taking them outside the camp’s boundary fence. 

We have hosted groups for 21st celebrations, elopements, proposals, and small casual weddings but you’ll need to chat to us directly about what you’re planning so we can let you know if it’s possible. 

Yes, we are able to accommodate campers in your party if they have their own gear. Chat to us directly about your needs.
